Committees

Advocacy (Joint w/ AzHLA) 
- Follow local issues to determine where VH&RA should be involved and appropriate position
- Monitor Buddy System program and efforts
- Plan and execute local City Officials Luncheon
- Monitor industry committees, task forces and advisory boards that affect tourism industry

Education (Joint w/ AzHLA) 
- Plan, execute and oversee the VH&RA Hospitality Career Day Program
- Review, recommend and coordinate scholarship program
- Review, recommend and coordinate programs such as Teacher Internships, School-to-Work, and Job  
  Shadow/Mentor Programs

Fundraising/Golf Committee
- Plan, execute and oversee the annual VH&RA Golf Tournament & Fundraiser in May, including sponsorships for 
  holes, tees and greens and donations for prizes, awards and silent auction
- Recommend and coordinate additional fundraising activities and identify worthwhile contribution recipients.

Member & Community Relations
- Plan and execute annual Media Reception and St. Vincent de Paul lunch service
- Plan and coordinate monthly luncheon programs and speakers
- Review, recommend and coordinate participation in quality community oriented programs on an ongoing basis
- Initiate positive public & media relations
- Work to enhance the hotel industry's image in the community

Membership
- Increase hotel/resort and vendor membership in Association and encourage active participation
- Review, recommend, develop and oversee programs to provide increased member value and encourage greater
  involvement of all members
